This card was created with our Courage stamp set - very appropriately named.  Thank you to the all the veterans and current active duty soldiers serving our country in the United States and overseas.

Autumn Splendor is a gorgeous stamp set from the Holiday Mini Catalog.  I am so in love with all the cards I see created with these images, and I had to have it!  :)

 

More Digital Art!

When you purchase My Digital Studio,  you are able to load it on 2 computers within the same household.  So I have it loaded on my laptop so I can take it with me when I travel.  Just this week I had to take my car in to be serviced, and I created this page while I was there.

I started my page with one of the Photo Only Layouts.  I removed a few of the photo boxes and added a background color, stamps, and text.  Very quick and easy!  No need to crop photos before you upload them to My Digital Studio either. 

If you are just starting out with My Digital Studio, I think the best thing to do is just play with it.  It's all on the computer so if you don't like something or feel like you have "messed up", then you can just start over again.  Everything you need is still there - no wasted supplies.  :)

My 9 year old daughter Olivia is loving my digital art software, too.  She's making her own album from our trip to Washington, D.C. this summer.  It's so funny what kids pick out as their favorite memories from vacation.

Fun Gift Idea: Pop Top Cans

This is a super-cute gift idea shared at Wichita Regionals.  Purchase the pop-top canned foods (i.e. soup, mandarin oranges, etc.) and turn them into a fun surprise gift container.  Peel the label off the can, open the bottom with a safety can opener, pour out the contents, and wash and dry the inside.  Once the can is clean and dry, fill the can with your gift and reattach the bottom of the can with Crystal Effects.  It is a super strong adhesive that dries clear - perfect for this types of projects!

Big Shot 3-d Pop Up Die's

Stampin' Up has several pop-up dies from Sizzix that make great stand alone projects, inserts for cards, and embellishments for scrapbook pages.  They can be tricky the first time you put them together but with practice they become much easier, and the WOW factor can't be beat!

We created 3 pop-up cards at my last Big Shot class.  (Look for an announcement for my next Big Shot class in January - attend for free when you buy the Big Shot gift pack.  It will be a whopper of a class!)

I'm not sure which one is my favorite, but it's between the Christmas Tree and 3-tier Cake.  I think I prefer the Pop Up ball as a stand-alone project.  I think it would make an adorable photo ball to sit on someone's desk or shelf.
